Handsome and fluffy cat shows up to family starving and terrified, they refuse to let him continue his life on the streets and add him to their dog and cat family: 'Sir George is fitting in more and more'

From rags to riches! 

Sir George showed up at their home in September. He was terrified and starving, and they trapped him at the end of November. They had him TNR'd, but a few weeks after that he started randomly showing up with the need for headbutts and pets. They took him inside on Christmas (a Christmas miracle!), and they found that he needs more medical attention. Seeing that it was the holidays they decided to actually take him in furrever, as well as after doing some research. They couldn't handle the thought they he'd be put down, so that made the bravest decision of all. 

He's obsessed with food, and won't stop eating! It's purrfect, since he was starving and needed to gain weight. He always wants to play and interact. He used to flinch when they tried to pet him, but he's getting better at accepting their love and not being worried.   • Taking in another cat while a family has already cats and dogs is no small feat. I have one cat, and he's already a handful. He meows all the time, he's really needy and if I don't pet him, play with him, or talk to him for too long I definitely get that mischievous cattidude that has him giving me the cold shoulder.

  • It makes sense that they took him in during Christmas. Christmas is a beautiful time because it brings out the best in people. People become more giving, more generous, and they take on more in these months of winter, of love, and of the feeling of togetherness. That kind of community feeling in conjunction with the holidays is nothing to take for granted. I for one love to see the sense of human connection during the holidays. There's something about lights all around you, snow falling right on your nose, and bundling up in the cold that makes people come together, just like this family came together for Sir George.
